Richard
SPRINGVALE, ME
Since 2002, I’ve been treated for multiple myeloma, a treatable but incurable cancer of the bone marrow. I was in very tough shape when I transferred to the Cancer Care Center in 2006 – but my latest course of treatment is really working. My oncologist here keeps up with all the latest research, and consults regularly with my other doctors.
The care is very good, very prompt. Dr. Deisler talks to you and tells you what’s going on. My previous doctor didn’t communicate very well, and when you don’t feel well, that’s especially hard. I have another doctor at the Lahey Clinic, and he and Dr. Deisler talk to each other about my medications
Richard’s wife, Monique:
When you have cancer, you have a lot of questions. Richard’s doctor and the staff here always have time to answer our questions. They’re an exceptional staff. At Scarborough, it was very regimented, and the doctor often avoided my questions. They’re so calm here, and they treat you like a human being. |
