Ribbon-cutting held on March 2, 2006
The Cancer Care Center of York County opened on Thursday, March
2, in a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by more than 250
people who jammed the Center's front lobby. With the official opening
of the Center, which is located just off Rt. 109 in Sanford, cancer
patients in York County now have state-of-the-art cancer care available
much closer to home. The Center will, on average, save area cancer
patients about 25 miles per trip for radiation therapy treatments.
Some patients will be spared as much as 100 miles per day for this
critical cancer care.
We are deeply appreciative to all the folks who shared in the
opening of the Center. See photos and read the full press
release here.
